It's official: after the new generation of TGVs (the TGV M, presented here), it's the OUIGO's turn to get a makeover. This Thursday, April 24, 2025, SNCF Voyageurs lifted the veil on the brand-new OUIGO trains. More spacious, more comfortable and more eco-efficient, they will gradually replace the old ones over the next three years. And as good news never comes alone, new lines will also be introduced! So, in concrete terms, what can you expect? Immerse yourself in the new OUIGO.
As a reminder, OUIGO is SNCF Voyageurs' low-cost offer: low-price tickets with à la carte options to suit all budgets (from €16 for adults and a maximum price of €8 for children)! With its “3x30” strategy, OUIGO is aiming to capture 30% of the high-speed market by 2030, with 30% more traffic, 30% more trains and... almost 30% more destinations.
Today, OUIGO's rolling stock comprises 38 trainsets. By renovating the existing fleet and deploying an additional 12 new trainsets between the end of 2025 and 2027 (the first of which has already been put into service), SNCF Voyageurs is aiming for a total of 50 trainsets. The goal? 33 million annual customers by 2030, compared with 23 million in 2023.
To develop the network, OUIGO is aiming to increase the number of stations served from 60 to almost 75 by 2027, i.e. +25%! New routes have already been announced:
- A 3rd OUIGO high-speed round-trip on the Paris-Rennes line,
- A 3rd round-trip from May 12 between Paris and Rennes with OUIGO Train Classique,
- A 3rd round-trip in summer 2026 with OUIGO Grande Vitesse on the Paris-Montpellier line via Lyon St-Exupéry,
- A 2nd weekend return trip between Paris and Lyon from December 2026.
- Reinforced service between Strasbourg and Paris,
- Service between Paris Gare du Nord and Lille,
- New connections between major regional cities.

The new OUIGO trains will be able to accommodate more passengers: 653 per train, or 1306 per double train! And the design? The pop side doesn't disappear, it's softened: more neutral shades, robust materials and a streamlined layout to appeal to all publics.
But more seats don't mean more comfort - quite the opposite, in fact. In concrete terms, the new OUIGOs will now offer:
