Paris → Rennes → Quiberon → Belle-Île → Quimper → Concarneau & Les Glénan → Crozon → Brest → Paris
From Paris, take the TGV to Rennes. Your first Breton immersion in a town on a human scale, perfect for a gentle start.
Take the time to stroll through its historic center: half-timbered houses, cobbled streets and the lively atmosphere of the Lices district. It's the perfect introduction to Brittany.
From Rennes, take the TER to Auray (about 1h20).
This is where one of France's most unusual routes begins: the Corkscrew a legendary regional train that takes you all the way to Quiberon along a spectacular isthmus, with the sea on both sides.
In just 45 minutes, you'll enjoy a unique rail experience between land and sea.
From Quiberon, come aboard the Ilians to sail to Belle-Île in 1h30.
Brittany's largest island is well worth a visit. With its wild landscapes and island atmosphere, it's a must-see on this tour. Take the time to spend at least one night there to really enjoy it.
Back to the mainland, then on to Quimper.
This emblematic Breton town is immediately captivating, with its two rivers and flamboyant Gothic cathedral. It's also the starting point for a number of must-see Finistère getaways.
From Quimper, a BreizhGo bus takes you to Concarneau in 43 minutes.
From this fortified port, embark with Sailcoop to reach the Glénan archipelago in 1h30, on a sailing trip. A paradise-like setting that contrasts with the classic image of Brittany - turquoise waters, wild islets... clearly one of the region's most beautiful spots.
Then back to Quimper.
From Quimper, two day trips are a must:
Two different but equally impressive atmospheres.
From Crozon, continue towards Brest, stopping off at Pointe Saint-Mathieu.
Abbey ruins, lighthouse facing the ocean, raw atmosphere: an emblematic spot on the Brittany coast.
From Brest, all you have to do is take the TGV back to Paris, your head full of sea spray and maritime landscapes.
This itinerary proves that it's possible to explore Brittany in a different way, without a car and without compromising on experience.
