We are launching our app: the ultimate low-carbon travel app

Juggling ten tabs from different railway companies, trying to decode international connections, spending hours comparing prices and digging through obscure forums to find the best tips… We know the struggle. Planning a train trip can feel like solving a puzzle with missing pieces.
It’s actually why HOURRAIL exists: to give you reliable info, ready-made itineraries, inspiration and good deals to make train travel easier.

But if we really want train travel to become simple, smooth and desirable, we need to go much further. So we teamed up with Railee (the platform that makes booking train trips as fast and smooth as a high-speed service) to create the ultimate low-carbon travel app.
An app that lets you find any itinerary in Europe in one click — and customise it however you like.

To bring it to life, we’ve launched a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule. By contributing, you’re not only supporting a project that’s putting travel back on the right track; you also join the HOURRAIL Club to become one of the very first beta testers, unlock exclusive perks to help you travel for less, and get early access from January 2026.

How does it work? Through the app, you can search any train route thanks to our powerful journey planner. In just a few taps, you see all the steps of your trip laid out on a map. Direct trains, night trains, comfort options… No more cross-checking information everywhere: we gather all available options in one place.

Customise your trip however you like

This was one of the strongest requests from our community, so we made it one of the app’s core features. Inside the app, you can:

• adjust the length of your trip,
• add or remove steps,
• tailor your itinerary to your budget,
• choose your preferred type of train (direct, daytime, overnight…),
• add one or several nights to explore a city along the way,
• plan a trip solo, as a couple or in a group (by sharing your itinerary),
• adapt your journey to your travel style: from slow, contemplative trips to efficient micro-adventures or full thematic grand tours.

In short: you design a trip that truly fits you.

Nothing beats real-life insight. The app includes concrete feedback from travellers like you: challenges, tips, advice on connections, night train reviews, ideas for stops…
And the community aspect doesn’t stop there: you can also share your itinerary with friends in just one click.
