• First stage: departure from Paris towards Rennes with OUIGO Train Classique. Tickets start at €10! And Rennes is the ideal first port of call, with its half-timbered houses and the Breton atmosphere we love so much.
• After enjoying the Breton capital, we're off to Nantes by TER for around €20. It's the perfect opportunity to take a break on the banks of the Loire.
• After this stopover in Nantes, we're off to Bordeaux by INTERCITÉS for around €18. And frankly, Bordeaux is typically the perfect city to cut your journey short: you can stroll along the quays and narrow streets of the historic center, or even extend the trip a little as far as the Arcachon Basin if you have the time.
• We then take an INTERCITÉS train back to the sun, direction Marseille. We found tickets starting at €27! Here, you'll find a completely different atmosphere, and above all, a different sea: the Mediterranean, which you can admire from the Old Port or from the famous Bonne Mère.
• We finish the loop with a new OUIGO Train Classique to Paris for around €19.

All in all, you could do a real tour of France for just €94 worth of train tickets! Of course, to stick to this budget, you need to book in advance, compare timetables and accept that you won't always leave at the perfect time. But if you can be flexible, it's clearly a crazy plan.
