European Sleeper is a young independent Belgian–Dutch railway company with a clear mission: to bring night trains back to the heart of European mobility.
Its ambition? To offer a comfortable, sustainable and accessible alternative to flying, and reconnect major European cities by rail.
Their first big step was launched in spring 2023: the Brussels–Prague overnight line, via Amsterdam and Berlin.
And the adventure is far from over: European Sleeper continues expanding its network, with the long-awaited launch of the Paris–Berlin night train in March 2026.
The goal: bring back the magic of night trains, modernise the offer, provide comfortable cabins, and allow everyone to travel far — without blowing up their carbon footprint.
Because it’s more than just a railway company , it’s a public-interest project driven by rail enthusiasts, advocates of ecological transition, and slow, responsible travel.
Their model is built on key pillars:
A night-train journey emits up to 50 times less CO₂ than a flight on a comparable route.
“With a capacity of up to 600 passengers, European Sleeper emits up to 8 times less CO₂ than flying and nearly 6 times less than driving on the Brussels–Prague route.”

So that one day, travelling across Europe while you sleep becomes the norm.
“We’re on a mission! European Sleeper is bringing night trains back to Europe, proudly run as a cooperative and powered by passionate night train enthusiasts.”
