What to do in Northern Alsace for a weekend?
Haguenau station is in the center of town, served by TER lines to Strasbourg, Niederbronn or Sarreguemines.
Haguenau is very well served by TER Grand Est since Strasbourg direct trains depart every 30 minutes with an average journey time of around 30 minutes.
If you like beautiful 18thᵉ century buildings, you'll love Haguenau's town center. In terms of culture, you can visit the Historical Museum and the Alsatian Museum. And don't miss the churches in the historic center: the Saint-Georges church (XIIᵉ-XVIᵉ centuries) and the Saint-Nicolas church, medieval and Baroque architecture, illustrate the city's heritage.
Visit Haguenau forest One of France's largest lowland forests, the Forêt d'Exception® is ideal for hiking and cycling. In summer, the Les Pins outdoor swimming pool is a perfect stopover for families.
As for local life, the lively town center, the Place d'Armes, gourmet markets, festivals (such as "Les Estivales") and the famous Houblon festival are just some of the places to experience the local atmosphere.
