Taking the train from Paris to Seville is like embarking on an adventure even before you arrive in Andalusia. Between the beaches of San Sebastián, a stopover in Madrid, and the Spanish landscapes rolling by outside the window, this itinerary turns your commute into a real journey. A wonderful 6-night loop that lets you discover three iconic Spanish cities without flying. Tested and approved by Sarah I., a HOURRAIL! reader, check out her review below! 👇

To get to Seville, Sarah decided to make the journey itself an integral part of the adventure, with stops in San Sebastián and Madrid.
Early morning departure from Paris on a direct TGV to Hendaye.
From Hendaye, simply take the Euskotren regional train. Trains depart every 30 minutes, and the trip takes about 30 minutes.
Sarah decided to spend one night in San Sebastián on the way there and another on the way back, at the Atotxa Rooms hotel, located right above the train station. It was a great opportunity to explore the famous La Concha Bay and sample some pintxos.
The next day, we headed to Madrid on a RENFE high-speed train.
On her way back, Sarah took advantage of a layover lasting several hours in the capital to explore the city, leaving her luggage in a storage locker near Atocha Station.
The final leg of the journey to Andalusia with Iryo.
In just a few hours, you’ll be in Seville, ready to enjoy its lively streets, flower-filled patios, tapas, and unique atmosphere.
For the return trip, you can get to Paris via Madrid or Barcelona, if you want to take the opportunity to add one last stop. One small downside: it’s less flexible than going through Madrid, and Barcelona-Paris trains can be more expensive if you wait until the last minute—so we recommend planning ahead!
The perfect itinerary for anyone who wants to travel to Andalusia without flying, while exploring several Spanish cities along the way!
