Wondering what to do in Zurich without running around everywhere? Whether you're a fan of culture, outdoor sports, architecture, or just looking to relax, we've put together the perfect city guide for three days or more. On the agenda: an arty interlude with Giacometti's Blüemlihalle, relaxation by the lake, urban surfing... Follow the guide.
Why not discover Zurich's little-known artistic heritage? Don't miss Augusto Giacometti's murals in the Blüemlihalle (entrance to the former cantonal guard building, Amtshaus I).
You'll discover a series of murals dating from 1922-26, combining floral and geometric motifs with scenes of labor and science. Please note that opening hours are limited. Be sure to check the opening hours (available here)!
Fancy a fun and original outing? The WOW Museum Zurich, located in the heart of the city, immerses you in a world of optical illusions and unusual perspectives. Spread over three floors and approximately 400 m², you can explore twelve interactive themed rooms.
The idea? You become part of the artwork, playing with your body and your gaze to create your own souvenir photos. Easy to access and fun... The perfect activity for a break on your own, as a couple, or with the family.
When summer comes, Zurich is transformed into a water paradise. The lake, river, and famous badis (outdoor swimming pools) offer a thousand ways to cool off.
A few landmarks:
Perched on a small hill in the heart of the old town, Lindenhof is a haven of calm and greenery with views of the Limmat River and the rooftops of Zurich.

Located in Zurich's West district, Urban Surf is a unique venue: a permanent artificial wave right in the city center!
Opened in 2018, the site combines sports, relaxation, and a chill atmosphere on the terrace. You can try your hand at surfing, watch the riders from the bar, or simply enjoy the view of the city skyline.
